April Ross

April Ross was one of only a few women beach volleyball athletes who earned medals at several Olympics. Alix Klineman is a new Olympian who will be joining her in Tokyo. Ross wants to achieve more than just her first Olympic medal. And at the age of 39, it could be her final chance to achieve it. However, she's confident that top honors are firmly at hand. If we play our top or play well I feel like we'll win the gold medal Ross said via NBC Boston. In addition, I'll try the opportunity to try my chances. Ross, who was born 1982 and lived in Costa Mesa California with her mother and sister, first began playing athletics at the Newport Harbor High School. While at Newport Harbor High School, she competed in numerous sports. In her time as a college athlete she was also a participant in indoor volleyball and track. She was definitely superior to the rest when it came to the second sport. In her time at the high school level in her university profile, she played as a middle-blocker, outside-hitter and setter. As a tribute to her efforts she was awarded the Gatorade Award for National Player 1999. In 2000, she was awarded the Orange County Athlete of the Yr for volleyball. Ross and Klineman may be working on a project at the beginning of 2017, but Ross had already been a seasoned player at the beach before they teamed up. She has won numerous events, and one was won by a legendary volleyball player. From 2007 until 2013, she was partnered with Jennifer Kessy, who is the coach she is currently. Together, Kessy Ross was an ace in the world circuit, winning an international title in 2009. The duo were awarded silver medals at the London Olympic Games. Misty May Treanor and Kerri Jennings the legendary team which was the winners of the 2012 Olympics in London, took their opponents to claim the gold. Ross Jennings was the replacement for May-Treanor as she retired. The duo were able to win the beach volleyball bronze during the Rio Olympics in 2016. Ross began her collegiate professional career playing for the Trojans of USC in graduation from high school. The Trojans were a few years away from when Ross made her debut on the sand and turned professional. Her time at USC was awe-inspiring. In 2000, she was voted Pac-10 Freshman of the Year and NCAA Freshman Of The Year and an All-American. Additionally, she assisted her Trojans to reach the Final Four. Her sophomore year was the time she experienced a devastating personal setback, but she was able to make it back as an All-American. The two years following her, she took the Trojans up to the summit and took home consecutive national championships. In 2003-2004, she was named the top female volleyball player on the collegiate scene in the United States according to the Honda Sports Award. Ross played international relations as a major at USC. Margie Ross did not get to witness Ross become the highest beach volleyball level. Ross's mother died of cancer of the breast in the year 2001. Ross had just become sophomore at USC. This meant that Ross continues to be near to her mother who passed away. Margie is a constant source of inspiration for her in and out of the water.
